RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

May 11, 2008 - Sunday *

Spend a Sunday afternoon at Heritage Square enjoying a spoof on America’s favorite past time— baseball.  The cost of the play and a buffet lunch is $31.50.  Payment and sign up in the parish office by April 16, 2008.

 

May 29, 2008 - Thursday 11:30 am

For the pasta phobic we have decided to give our pot luck an Italian theme.  Bring your favorite Italian dish to share with 6-8 others. Father Jeff will also graciously give us the State of Parish report.  Sign up in the parish office by May 27.

 

May 30, 2008 - Friday*

Come and sample and learn why Coors Beers is our state beverage.  We will have a tour of the facility and lunch at Toni Rigatoni’s in Golden.  Tour is free and lunch depends on what you order.  Sign up in office by May 9.

 

June 10, 2008 - Tuesday *

Pretend its Willy Wonka’s factory.  We will tour Hammond’s Candy Factory in business for the last 88 years, so they must be doing something right.  Afterwards we will dine at the Golden Corral.  The tour is free and the lunch is all you can eat for $6.99 sans tax and tip.  Sign up in parish office by May 20.

 

June 24, 2008 - Tuesday - Hudson Gardens*

Enjoy a lovely day outside admiring the 30 acre garden.  Lunch may be purchased there.  The cost is $3.00 for admission to be paid at the site.  Call the office, 303-233-6236, to sign up by May 30.

 

June 25, 2008 - Wednesday - Cinema Grill

Who says you can’t have it all!  We will be treated to a current movie and a lunch entrée.  There will be 3 movies to choose from-to be revealed on the bus.  The entrées available are: pizza, hamburger, Philly cheese steak or chicken sandwich, the last served with fries.  You will be served at your table while you enjoy the show.  I know!  All this for $15.00 in beautiful Aurora CO, plus $4.00 for the round trip bus.  Sign up by May 30.

Parents: Please call the office if you have any questions about Totus Tuus this summer.  We would like to have registration forms turned in by June 1 to get some idea of how many children for whom we need to plan.  If you need more time, please let us know, 303-233-1283.

 

 

TOTUS TUUS

This is the eighth year Our Lady of Fatima will host Totus Tuus, a summer catechetical program for children in grades 1-12.  The date is June 15-20 and registration forms are available in the Religious Education Office.  Two teams of Totus Tuus teachers will be with us again this year and we are in need of families who can provide a place for the team to stay during the week and others who would be able to provide dinner.  Please call Mary at 303-233-1283 if you can help.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

 

This fall we will offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to children ages 3-5 (includes kindergarteners who are 6 years old) on Sundays during Religious Education.  This is a Montessori-type program that teaches the children their faith.

 

In order to make the program work we are in need of many volunteers to help us prepare the atrium (the space used for the classes) and to help teach or assist in the classroom.  Whether that help involves working as catechists or building the tables and shelving, we are grateful for your participation.  In fact, this program will not succeed without volunteers-something Our Lady of Fatima parishioners do so well.  Christ the King Catholic Church in Evergreen has offered this program for many years and will be conducting an information workshop at the end of June for catechists.  Please call Mary or Roxanne at 303-233-1283 if you have question or wish to volunteer.
