My dear parish family,

I began my time as your new shepherd on June 14, 2006.  I pray that I remain with you, my new parish family, for many years to come as we all grow together in friendship, love and faith through Christ our Lord.  I have known for a year that I would be returning to Parish ministry and have prayed for you everyday – and now I finally have a chance to start to get to know, love and serve you.  I intend no dramatic changes to the Parish community.  Instead, I look forward to further fulfilling the vision for this Parish you began with Bishop Nickless and Father Kevin Augustyn.

I find in the short time I have been at Fatima that the Lord has amply blessed me in calling me here.  It is great to be with you!  Over the past year, through the Capital Campaign, the Parish community has begun a wonderful physical and spiritual transformation.  I am deeply moved by the beauty of Fatima’s renovated sanctuary and the new Adoration Chapel.  If you have not had an opportunity to experience Adoration of our Lord in the new Chapel, I encourage you to stop by the chapel and pray.  I urge you then to consider committing one hour per week to the Lord in Adoration.  Each time you go to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, you touch His Heart with your faith.  Each Holy Hour you make in the Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament releases His power and graces upon you, your family, your parish, your diocese and the world.

We are beginning the renovations at the school.  Our school is an essential part of our Parish community and an instrument for spreading and deepening the faith and for expanding the Kingdom of God.  All schools strive to achieve educational excellence for students; but our Catholic school is unique in that it is attached to Jesus Christ and dedicated to the mission of the Gospel.  Our school children learn Catholic values and strive to live them daily.  The presence of our Catholic school may be rather small in society as a whole but the effect of the gospel message coming from our Catholic school community will have a huge effect if lived in love.

I thank you all for your continued commitment to the Lord and Our Lady of Fatima Parish.  Essential to this commitment is the continued success of our Capital Campaign, through the continued generosity of our campaign contributors and volunteers.

Finally, Father Faustinus and I have been deeply touched by the kind, warm welcome we have received from the Fatima community.  We will continue to pray for all of you and ask that you keep us in your prayers.

Your brother in Christ,

Father Jeff Wilborn

Pastor

Remembering our roots...building our future Capital Campaign.

Welcome to the Our Lady of Fatima Campaign Corner. Our desire is to keep all parishioners informed on the progress of the capital campaign. This section provides the latest news surrounding the drive as well as a way to learn how you might be involved.

The Remembering Our Roots…Building Our Future Capital Campaign is a three-year project designed to raise $2 million. We will conduct the campaign in three phases: preparation, solicitation and follow up. The first two phases will last 10-11 weeks each and the final phase will last one month. A successful capital campaign will allow Our Lady of Fatima to make improvements campus-wide, in the church building itself, the school, Religious Education building and the Parish Center.
