Our Lady of Fatima Beats Broncos!

While the Denver Broncos continue to prepare for their September season opener with Miami, Our Lady of Fatima has beaten the NFL stars to the punch. This weekend marks the kickoff of the Remembering our roots…building our future Capital Campaign.

“This is a wonderful time for our parish,” Monsignor Walker Nickless said. “Through our capital campaign we have the chance to take Our Lady of Fatima Parish to a higher spiritual level benefiting current and future parishioners.”

The excitement surround the campaign is building daily. More than 50 volunteers have agreed to assist with the effort. Bob Zarlengo understands the importance behind his commitment.

“This is our chance to step up and give something back,” Zarlengo said. “We’ve had many wonderful experiences at Our Lady of Fatima.”

Bob and his wife Patti are serving as Co-General Chairs along with Lee and Pat Miller. Like their partners, the Millers values the opportunity to make a difference.

“Our Lady of Fatima School has made a wonderful impression on my son,” Pat Miller said. “I hope we can continue to offer that experience to others for years to come.”

The capital campaign will run for three years with a goal of $2 million. Donations will be used to make improvements and renovations to the church building and other campus buildings. Pledges will also go towards the Little Shepherds of Fatima Fund.

As part of the August kickoff celebration parishioners will receive a case statement describing the campaign in great detail. Campaign volunteers will also be available in the Parish Center Hall after masses on the weekend of August 20 and 21 to answer questions about the campaign.
